Three Nuns is a tobacco that has been marketed for over a century, founded in Glasgow by J&F Bell Ltd, now produced by Mac Baren. The tobacco leaf is spun as a rope, with dark fired Kentucky at its heart and Virginia surrounding it. This rope has leaf from no less than four continents twisted into it giving it strength, sweetness and smoky character. Then it is cut into coins and rubbed out for your convenience. Deep and rich smokiness alongside sweet wholesome tobacco flavours take the stage, earthiness is evident, as is hay and some citrus fruit. Three Nuns has had a strong following for many years and for many, it is a nostalgic smoke.
